Thu, 14/04/2016

SyrSpend® SF is a GMP-produced oral liquid vehicle that is supported by extensive scientific literature. In a study published in the April edition of Die Pharmazie, the physical and chemical stability of 10 APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) was studied in SyrSpend® SF PH4 liquid1:

  • Cholecalciferol
  • Haloperidol
  • Imipramine hydrochloride
  • Levodopa/carbidopa
  • Lorazepam
  • Minocycline hydrochloride
  • Tacrolimus monohydrate
  • Terbinafine
  • Tramadol hydrochloride
  • Valsartan

The beyond-use date for almost all studied SyrSpend® SF suspensions is 90 days stored under refrigerated conditions (2-8°C) and at room temperature (20-25°C). Minocycline hydrochloride has a beyond-use date of 60 days at both storage temperatures, levodopa/carbidopa and lorazepam have respectively 30 and 60 days stability at room temperature.

An overview of all available formulations with SyrSpend® SF can be found on our free online formulations database, Compounding Matters.
