On 25 September the world pays attention to the role of the pharmacist in improving health in every corner of the world. This years’ theme is:
“Access to pharmacists is access to health”
The pharmacist plays a key role in access to medicines. This includes compounding prescriptions when no commercial option is available.
At Fagron we believe that compounding makes pharmacists unique and that compounding is essential for effective tailor made patient care. For example:
• In helping small children or those with impaired metabolism
• To solve drug shortages or in case of discontinued drugs
• Provide a more suitable route of administration when a patient is unable to take his or her medication
We are confident that pharmacists can continue to provide this unique role in the years to come. At Fagron we therefore we fully support World Pharmacists Day and would like you to join us in this celebration!
